TerraWatt Power Exhibits at Intersolar North America 2008

Building upon its recent successes at the NESEA Building Energy 2008 and Solar 2008 conferences in Boston and San Diego, TerraWatt exhibited at the innaugural Intersolar North America exhibition that was recently held in San Francisco, California.  An offspring of Germany’s Intersolar Conference and Exhibition, the largest solar PV exhibition in the world, Intersolar North America aspires to become the largest solar energy exhibition in North America.  The 2008 event utilized 350,000 square feet of combined exhibition space throughout the Moscone Center and featured 210 international solar and solar-related companies with more than 13,000 trade visitors coming from 88 different nations around the world.  “We were pleased with the event”, said J. Gary McDaniel, President & General Manager of TerraWatt Power, LLC.  “With a new event like this you are never completely sure as to how it will turn out.  But, with the might of both the Intersolar Germany team and the SEMICON West team behind it, Intersolar North America has gotten off to a pretty good start!”

For the second straight year TerraWatt Power exhibited at the American Solar Energy Society’s flagship event, SOLAR 2008.   With over 4,600 registered attendees, SOLAR 2008 was a resounding success.  “We were able to reach out to a lot of potential customers by showcasing our ecoJoule inverter and its cutting-edge technologies”, said J. Gary McDaniel, President and General Manager of TerraWatt Power, LLC.  “I was most impressed by the level of knowledge demonstrated by the attendees of this year’s event.  It is obvious that the public is taking more of an interest in solar power and is becoming more educated about the various technologies available to them as consumers.  Since our product offers a lot of features and benefits unmatched by our competitors an educated consumer makes our sales job a lot easier.”

McDaniel also made a presentation to the conference attendees and the general public entitled “Issues Affecting PV System Productivity“.  His presentation was very well received.  In fact, the Q&A period following the presentation continued on in the lobby.

With over 175 exhibitors, the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association’s Building Energy Conference & Trade Show was once again a huge success. TerraWatt Power’s ecoJoule® 2500 inverter was one of only two residential grid-tie inverters on display at the show.

“The ecoJoule inverter’s unique set of features and benefits drew quite a crowd,” said J. Gary McDaniel, President and General Manager of TerraWatt Power. “There are many inverters on the market these days but none of them can provide homeowners with the multitude of functionalities of our inverter. What we are most proud of is our ability to produce more power in partial shade situations (trees, buildings, chimneys, dormers, etc.) and our ability to provide emergency back-up power to the home directly from the solar panels…without batteries! No other inverter manufacturer in the world can make this claim.”

ecoJoule Inverter featured in North American Clean Energy magazine

TerraWatt Power’s new ecoJoule® 2500 inverter was recently featured on page 7 of the inaugural issue of a new industry magazine, North American Clean Energy. The inverter was discussed in their “new technology / solar energy” section.  The links to the magazine and page 7 are found below:

TerraWatt Power Exhibits at Solar 2007

TerraWatt Power proudly displayed its new ecoJoule® 2500 inverter at the Solar 2007 Conference and Exhibition in Cleveland, OH. “The show was a huge success for us,” said J. Gary McDaniel, President and General Manager of TerraWatt Power. “Traffic at our booth was virtually non-stop for the entire three days of the exhibition…I never even got a chance to sit down!”

Because of its innovative design, patented software configuration and low input voltage, the ecoJoule 2500 inverter offers distinctive benefits — including off-grid “emergency” operation without batteries, superior productivity in shaded situations, incremental system installation, optional battery back-up and full MPPT utility interaction. The ecoJoule 2500 inverter is not matched by any other inverter on the market. McDaniel stated, “Our discussions with the public and with the other conference attendees at Solar 2007 confirmed to us that these unique design features are ‘spot-on’ with the current needs of the marketplace.”
